Some of my favorite hairstyles for my micro locs have been updos. I wanted to share a couple that I have been doing over the summer. The first is simply an old braid-out pulled up into a high ponytail. I pinned some rebellious locs down to make it look more like a bun. The scarf hid grown-out roots and some of my shorter locs in the front that didn’t quite reach into the hair tie.
The second hairstyle is one that I discovered by accident. It was achieved on a fresher braid-out (Can you tell I love braid-outs?). I rolled down the sides and pinned them. I lifted the locs in the back into an upside down roll and secured them with an elastic hair tie. I gently pulled the hair tie down until in disappeared into the bun. I used some bobby pins to make it look more uniform.
